Gaia Meaning
From the Greek word γαια (gaia) , a parallel form of γη (ge) meaning "earth". In Greek mythology Gaia was the mother goddess who presided over the earth. She was the mate of Uranus and the mother of the Titans and the Cyclopes. Gaia originates in Greek language and means "from the Earth". In Greek mythology, Gaia was the great mother of all gods, the primordial being of the Earth. Her Roman equivalent is Terra. As a feminine given name, Gaia is still popular in some European countries. In the United States it has never gained popularity.
