Combination of the popular name elements Shan and ice. Shanice most likely originates in Hebrew language and means "God is merciful". It is a form of Janice, ultimately derived from John, originating in Hebrew. Some sources suggest, though, that it is just a combination of name elements Shan and ice, used mostly in modern English.
